Yesterday the wind RAGED. And if you know me, you know how much I DISLIKE wind. It makes me crazy. But yesterday I decided to go for a walk. I told Jess we were coming out to take a few pictures and he told us to dress warm and bring him a coat. I bundled up the kids and covered them with blankets. I got out on the road and thought, this isn't too windy and certainly isn't as cold as Jess made it sound. I got about 1/3 of the way out to the farthest bed on the marsh and my phone rings. Its Jess. "Are you crazy? You're walking out here? You'll freeze!!" Well, I was already this far and it wasn't that windy yet. I kept going. We got out there pretty quickly, took a few pictures, gave Jess his coat, watched for a few minutes and then headed home.
WHOA!!!! It was windy once we got turned around. YIKES!! Needless to say, the trip home was horrible. The kids cried, the wind blew and I was pretty cold myself. I ran part of the way home, but pushing a double stroller, in wet sand, into the wind, running is harder than it sounds.
We finally got home, the kids didn't cry the whole way home, we got in the house and warmed up in no time.
Jess was right! It was cold, windy and I was crazy!!
